Former Liverpool goalkeeper and now Aston Villa’s number one shotstopper Brad Friedel has had his red card picked up at Anfield on Sunday rescinded by the Football Association.Friedel was sent off when he brought down Fernando Torres in the penalty area shortly after the hour mark.The F.A.’s decision means Friedel can continue his run of consecutive league games, which now stands at 182.More importantly, for Liverpool, it means he will be available to play against Manchester Utd in Aston Villa’s next Premier League match on April 5th.

Nampak gayanya Friedel dapat beraksi menentang Man U yang akan bertandang ke Villa Park. Ini sedikit sebanyak menguatkan kembali skuad Villa yang begitu mengharapkan khidmat Friedel yang berpengalaman dan antara penjaga gol terbaik EPL. Saya juga melihat faktor Friedel akan menjadi pertikaian dari pihak Man U,jika mereka gagal menewaskan Villa kelak.
Sememangnya bagi pihak kita tiada masalah walaupun pengadil telah menukar keputusan tetapi terkadang keputusan sebegini betul=betul membingungkan. Bagi saya Friedel sememangnya harus diberikan kad merah kerana menghadang Torres yang berpeluang menjaringka gol. Walaupun begitu mungkin pengadil membuat keputusan atas dasar Freidel tidak bermaksud untuk menghadang Torres. Apa-apa pun pengadil juga manusia yang sering melakukan kesilapan.
